Lazy Hazy Days Theme

My theme is Medical With inspiration from Betsey Johnsons collection. I chose medical as my theme because there was so many different shapes ,patterns and effects I could get from it for example the x-ray im thinking of doing a x- ray collection but inside the body of the x-ray you will find different things when you look close enough. Also sticking with the idea of x-ray and drugs (medical) I wanted to show the harm drugs cause inside your body showing up on the x-ray clothing. Also the tools doctors use in theatre  have given me lots of different shapes and textures to play with so im very excited to get designing

Lazy Hazay Days Project

I Study Fashion at Barnsley College in England and the project is to design a collection named Lazy Hazay Days. My them is Medical as there are lots of different shapes and ideas i can take from it, I got my inspiration from Betsey Johnson's collection which is amazing and typically Betsey! Obsessions

First of Alena Shishkova a Russian model, talk about the human Barbie she's stunning with amazing hair. Look her up on google or watch makeup tutorials on you tube on how she gets her natural but flawless look. Freak of Nature!

Black and White nights

The trickle down theory is the idea that a trend such as black and white starts at  haute couture down into your D&G and high street designers then high street and makeup etc.

Black and White nights will be a big trend for 2014 winter collection. Designers such as Prada and Gucci have showcased this look in there amazing collections.

MIX 'N' MATCH- don't be afraid to clash different materials in your black and white look, in the Gucci and Prada collections leather is very popular so look out you wet look wardrobe and mix it up. If your wanting to add colour add a bright colour clutch or shoes.

Modern twist on Victorian dress

I made the crop top rest on the shoulder because this was a popular look in the Victorian era with cleavage showing. However I made it a crop to give a modern twist to it as crop tops are in fashion now. I also added a crown and necklace both with crosses on to show how Victorians were very religious also the crown represents Queen Victoria as she was a fashion role model in her day 1890-1901. However I took inspiration for the hair from our current Queen Elizabeth to again make it modern. I made the lips smaller and wanted the makeup to reflect the Japanese influence on the Victorian fashion also the flowers also took inspiration from Japan .

 Victorian design       With this design I wanted it to be simple but womanly at the same time unfortunately not all detail shows up on the photo though. Again I gave Japanease inspired makeup, I wanted this look to be something the Victorian lady could wear to the races with the hat and gloves. I didn't want to go overboard with frills because I think it would overpower the dress.

Victorians took inspiration in there clothes and makeup from japan as you Can see in this photo Whith the small lips and bright cheeks

This is a modern twist on the Victrian classic with lots of lace and material for the skirt and a tight corset this also has links to the victorian mourning dress after the death of a family member.

Victorian shoes were comfortable for the women as she would be standing most of the day because you couldnt sit in the large dresses they also had lots of detail as did the rest of the outfit.

Try different styles with your nails this look obviously was inspired by the American flag and the glitz and glam of the amazing U.S.A

THINK PINK

 I noticed pink and purple hair appearing on the runway and a new street style so i tried it my self! I love the colour it gives a very modern, fun, look. The hair is bubble gum pink into a dark berry purple. If you don't want to dye you actual hair there are products out there such as Kevin Murphy Colour bug which a sort of eye shadow for your hair so try it out. BE DARING.

I like Renies illustrations how she does brushes of white to give 3D effect and movement to the clothes. However I dislike that she does not add eyes to her illustrations I find it takes away from the beauty of her work.

 My first Illustration in my new Sketchbook (no pressure). The task was to enlarge the original picture by 2x , I'm pretty proud of the final image. I cant wait until I begin designing and sketching my own illustrations!

I'm 5ft (and proud) so everything I wear is to make me look taller! So anything high wasted gives the illusion that legs are taller and thinner, I also get away with wearing heels pretty much anywhere my favourite are platform wedges or anything with a platform and a chunky heel, and since my feet are size 3 (don't judge) there are always good shoes in that size in the SALE!

My favourite designer has to be between Versace and Chanel.

Chanel is forever classy and modern always surprising us with there sophisticated yet different designs. Then there is Versace who are always experimenting with different textures and have a sexier look in there designs and I love the dramatic colours and prints they use.

What Fahion is to me

Why I love fashion. Fashion is my first impression, it’s my identity, and it’s making a statement, its showing your personality without even saying a word.

 I love the power fashion can give me, to style someone and see how happy they are and how much confidence they have in their self and actually being able to look in the mirror and say they are happy with how they look. Fashion is confidence, without it we are just an empty canvas.
