Pattern cutting

I've finally finished my practice for my shirt il post a pic soon. I didn't find anything that difficult that I was pulling my hair out but I guess that's because I enjoy doing it. Probably the hardest stage was making my own pattern piece from scratch and not using a template for the sashes I've attached on, I also realized I could not iron pleats to save my life so that's something I need to practice.

Iggy Azalea makeup

I love iggys look, bright lips and natural eyes with her gorgeous long blonde hair! This look was inspired by her but I made the eyes slightly darker because just mascara does not suit my eyes!! To achieve this I did my normal foundation routine a simple liquid liner, false lashes and blended a matte brown over my eyes followed by a bold lip my mabelline. Don't know if I should do tutorial or not hmm?

Techniques

On the left is a print of peacocks this technique is called magic touch, I chose to use peacocks because in Indian culture peacocks are pets and they are a way to show off how much money you have and the pattern of there feathers gives inspiration for another pattern I could use. On the left I used batik and ink   I used a common Indian pattern and I love this effect which I can also use on fabric.

Designs

Here is just some of my Indian inspired shirt designs. These shirts will be for a Emirates flight attendant.

New project

I've started a new project, I'm going to make a black and white cotton shirt using inspiration from my theme which is(drum role) India! I chose India because there is so many patterns and beautiful architecture there. Also there fashion is distinctive and easy to take ideas from.

Final boards

I am pleased with my boards however if I was to change anything I would make my illustrations pop out more by using brighter colours or a different media. I also would change the background as it's hard to see.
